Hey folks, brand new member

Hey folks, brand new member here. Someone here at work posted a flyer about the Tea Party a few days ago, and I noticed that you'd like to have a few pictures of the event. I'm a budding photography hobbyist, so I'd like to stop by after work (around 6:30) & see if I can get eny decent shots for you guys. I looked through some of your past photos, and what seems to be missing is a shot that shows how big the whole crowd is. Does anyone know of a good spot where I could get a picture like that? I have a few lenses to choose from, anywhere from 18mm wide angle to 300mm zoom, so I don't need to be real close - I'd just like to see the whole pedestrian bridge covered with 1,000+ concerned voters, and I think our politicians need to see it too. (A tall ladder or scaffold at either end of the bridge would be ideal.)

For any fellow shutterbugs out there, I'm shooting with a Canon 40D. My lens choices are a 50mm F1.8, a 28-135 IS, a fairly cheap 75-300 lens, and an 18-55 F2.8 IS.
